Virginia Beal

Virginia
Virginia Beal is a Senior Research Associate at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science. Her primary area of expertise focuses on television research and more widely researching how people use media and the effect it has on advertising and media schedules.


Virginia has extensive cross-media experience gained over the past 5 years working in the media industry both in the UK and Australia. Her experience in the UK includes working in senior research roles at the BBC, TIME Inc and News International. Locally Virginia managed the research function at Network Ten and served on the Oztam committee.


Virginia was a speaker at the 2007 ESOMAR Worldwide Multi Media Measurement conference in Dublin and has presented at various conferences in Australia and NZ. 


Academically Virginia completed a Masters of Business by Research in 2003, the focus of which was Television Viewing patterns in the USA & UK, prior to this she complete both a Bachelor Management (Marketing) and Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies).
