Professor Bruce McColl

Senior Marketing Scientist

Professor Bruce McColl is an award-winning marketer with an enduring career at the head of marketing at Mars Incorporated, one of the world’s largest confectionary and food manufacturers.

In 2016 Bruce retired from Mars after 10 years as Global Chief Marketing Officer, and total of 24 years with the company. He is regarded a champion of both creativity and science, and advertising that emotionally resonates with consumers. Under his leadership, Mars was named ‘Advertiser of the Year’ at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, and ‘Marketer of the Year’ at the International Food and Beverage (FAB) Awards in both 2015 and 2016.

Following his retirement from Mars, Bruce joined the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute as Industry Professor, where his unique experience in the application of scientific knowledge to marketing practice benefits the Institute’s global industry partners.
